Slip/Trip/Fall Injuries (Premises Liability)

These are claims for injuries that happen when a shop owner or landowner fails to exercise due care to keep their property in a reasonably safe condition or fails to protect persons from dangers that may not discover which present an unreasonable risk of danger to them. The property owners often have homeowners or business insurance policies that provide coverage against which claims can be made for these injuries. Those policies often contain provisions for payment of the treatment costs (med pay insurance) as well as for recovery of damages (liability insurance).
